Caravana do Templo

I just spent such an uplifting fun day at the temple in Recife! Nothing like waking up at 5am and starting the 3hour journey with all the members in the caravan bus! I seriously love getting to know all the members and talking to the little irmazinhas reminds me so much of my mission. I am always amazed at their conversion stories and the sacrifices they make to live the Gospel.
I went to watch my friend, Cida, and her husband be sealed together. They are new members for a little over a year now and I wanted to be there on their special day. When we got there I was able to do two sessions and I just felt such peace and joy and it's like I have finally made the switch over to being more "brazilian" (I remember when that happened on my mission) and I am just enjoying everything so much. I feel like we have really been strengthened as a family living here and I am grateful for this experience.
This cute little irma "Zezita" latched onto me and invited me to eat lunch with her. As I sat across from this cute 75 year-old woman and listened to her stories as her lips were covered in farofa, I just smiled and thought to myself "there is nowhere else I'd rather be at this moment"! :) I just love the people and they strengthen me so much and help me understand what it means to be a member of The Church of Jesus Christ. During a session I watched a temple worker help this blind man to his seat and I just felt so humbled seeing his situation and remembering how blessed I truly am . Also to think that we are all given different trials here on earth and that we will be healed and rewarded in the end if we remain faithful. I'm so grateful to understand more about this beautiful plan and take time out of my busy life to go to the temple!
