February Fun!

Our little princess is getting big.
But not quite as big as her other cousins.
Maile is definitely the tiny one of the 5.
Everyday Maile carefully selects which princess "nightdown" she is going to wear. Will she be Belle, Rapunzel, Ariel or Sleeping Beauty.
Oh to be 3 years old again. So much fun!
Getting her out of the nightgown and into school uniform....not so much fun.
Mari comes to help us 2-3x a week at our house. She practically raised Lee and came to help their family as a 14 year old when Lee was one year old, and his twin brothers had just been born. (not to mention there were 3 other young kids). In other words, she can handle anything! She has become such a dear friend to me and the way she leaves our house soooo clean each time it's enough that I could just kiss her! I mean, who climbs out the windows to get them extra clean, and the way she scrubs everything down with soap and her broom mesmerizes me. She always tells me "So tenho fe no sabao!" (I only have faith in soap) as she scrubs and scrubs away. She gets here at 7am and tells me about how she has already washed and hung all their clothes, made almoco, and swept her house. As I look at her with my 7am face barely awake all I can say is..."muito bom."
Happy Valentine's Day meu amor!
I never thought that dinner and movie would be such a treat but those who have kids know just what I'm talking about! Love you!
Pool Days! For me the pool just doesn't get old! And to think that I can have a tan in the middle of February just makes me extra happy. :)
Off to Subway to get some lunch. My sogra is convinced they put a Subway in down the street to help me have something American and adjust better. he he.
I think she's right.
Lucas is weaned from....me!
And the only one missing it is me.
He gets so excited for a big bottle of milk.
I can't believe my baby is going to be one next month!
Maile's little school "Pingo de Mel."
This is their playground in the front.
When I went to pick Maile up from school I was confused as to which was my little girl! This one on the right reminded me so much of myself when I was little. Maile told me she shared her snack with her friend at school. I asked, "What's her name?" She replied squishing her hands to her cheeks to make a chubby face and said, "The one that looks like this." ha ha.
I knew she was talking about the mini Miche.
Maile still cries everyday that we get ready for school. Once she is out the door she does okay and always comes home with a smile and singing the latest song in Portuguese. "O sapo nao lava pe....mas que chule!"
