To my little Lucas...

My little Lukey. I just want to snuggle you and keep you this size forever. I love the way that when I reach you out of your crib you rest your head on my shoulder and let me snuggle you. I love how you hum yourself to sleep. I love the way you scrunch your little eyes up and breath heavily back and forth out of your nose to make me giggle. I love the way you say "olha" and point your little finger. I love your little ears that stick out. I love caressing your silky little white legs when I'm holding you. I love how you eat and eat and then eat some more. I love the way you throw yourself down into the pillows on my bed and giggle. I love that you are trying new things each day and I get to be the one to love and teach you. Te amo filinho.

I love seeing her little letters

They did an adorable presentation for Mother's Day!

"Mamae e um amor, mamae e um flor..."

It was so fun to go to the presentation and see her school work on display and watch the program. We got that sensation of being proud parents and taking 80 pictures of our little "flower" and big smiles on our faces. And to think this is only the beginning of all the school fun!

Lucas!

Lucas finally spoke his first official word and we were curious to see if it came out in English or Portuguese. He says, "Olha!" all the time now and it's so cute! :) ('look' in English). He says "Alo" and holds up his hand for the telefone and also gives us beijos/kisses. This phase is a lot of fun but I'm also getting anxiety about going on the airplane in July. Just your basic 20 hour trip! Ai minha nossa! Well it will be well worth it- I've been homesick lately. I'm definitely learning lots of patience and to just try and take one day at a time. Lucky I have this little boy to make my days bright!
