Baby Boom!

It is so fun that a bunch of us friends all have babies around the same age! (and I got in on the second round!) We had a fun lunch and I just couldn't believe how close this new batch of babies is in age. They are going to have so much fun together. I love getting together with you girls! Thanks for all the fun chat. Sorry I had to dash out earlier than I wanted. Let's get a GNO weekend on the calendar!

The latest on Maile Loo

I love my tuperware drawer! I can pull everything out all by myself.

My mommy can't get enough of me!

My daddy loves to toss me up, down and all around.

I'm still not lovin' the "tummy time". No crawling for me.....

I am ALWAYS on the go! Keep up with me if you can!

I can say "ma ma ma" and "da da da".

The Chinese Cheese

So I finally caught it on camera! The big chinese cheese. I love it. This face cracks me up and Maile proves that she has inherited her Mother's "chinese eyes smile". :) She especially loves to do this face when she's extra proud with herself or about to grab something that looks exciting to her. She cheeses it and then breathes extra heavily through her nose. Oh Maile- you are a crack up!

Conference Weekend in Cali

Happy Birthday Papa!
We had the best conference weekend ever! I had this idea to put together a book for my grandpa's 84th birthday. All of his children, grandchildren, and even great-grandchildren wrote a letter to Papa of favorite memories and expressing their love. I put it all into a digital scrapbook and it created such a special gift. Well, for Lee's birthday my parents suprised us with plane tickets for conference weekend to go visit Mimi and Papa and give him the present personally! :) We just got back and had the BEST time ever. It was so wonderful to spend time with them (and it always goes by way too fast) but we are so glad that he is on his way to better health little by little. Thank you for a wonderful weekend Mimi and Papa. We love you and hope you enjoyed this birthday weekend as much as we did! :)

We even got to skip away to the beach for awhile. The water was soooo cold, but nothing beats the salty smell and hearing the waves crash. These pictures were taken at Chrystal Cove.

We love our man!

Lee went to Brazil for Spring Break and surprised his family. He showed up at his parents' house at 6am honking the horn and they about had a heart attack! :) I was so happy he could go and spend a good week just hanging out with his family without having to rush anywhere. I was so excited for him (but jealous of the warm weather and seeing his fam). He had a rude awakening coming back from 100 degree beach weather to gray chilly Utah! We're glad you're home Lee- don't leave us for that long ever again! :)

This is where he is from, Campina Grande. His familiy's apartment is right on this lake. It is beautiful and not too far from the beach!

He brought me home all sorts of shoes, bags and earrings. Yeah! These are my favorites! Obrigada!
Maile was a little shocked to see him and loved all the beach stuff he brought home for her to play with.
Happy Birthday Daddy!
We celebrated Lee's 28th birthday last weekend. Maile had her first sleepover at Grandma's while we went up to Snowbird for a steak dinner, movie, hot tub and relaxation! It was great. Feliz Aniversario! I remember when 28 years old sounded like "the end" and now it only sounds like "the beginning". Funny how that works.

Maile's First Easter

Happy Easter 2008!
Crazy how Easter weekend has already come and gone. Maile looked so cute in her little dress and bonnet (I couldn't resist). Maybe one day she'll do what I did to my mom- when she can talk she'll say..."I hate pink and lace!" he he. We'll enjoy it while it lasts.
