Summertime with Maile and Lukey...

We have had a great Summer so far living with Grandma and Grandpa- it actually feels like Summer now that I'm not working and we can do fun activities every day. It's so fun to have all of my siblings here and especially hang out with Danni all the time while Brad studies for the bar exam. Maile loves to hang out with her Aunt Danni and Grandma and they have been awesome helpers with the kids while Lee has been traveling a bit for work.

So here's a quick update of what we've been up to...

MICHE: I am still adjusting to having 2 kids and when they are asleep at the same time I just sit and stare and wonder what to do with myself I'm so exhausted! :) But they are definitely a joy and I see them growing up before my very eyes. I love having a boy and girl. I have been converted to the show "Glee" which I never took interest in but when I started watching the season on the dvds I got addicted to the show and music too! I also got swooped back into The Bachelorette after avoiding the drama for a few seasons now. Gotta love it! I turned 29 years old, um ya, what the heck! How did I get so old! Danni has tried to get my butt in shape with Insanity workouts but my prego eating habits have made it hard to lose the baby weight. I'll get there though hopefully. I have been shopping lots getting things ready for Brazil and dealing with so many details with moving out of the country I won't bore you with all the details. I am getting excited for the move but am starting to feel the aches of leaving my family. I love them so much. This is definitely a summer to remember with everyone close!

LEE: Lee left Wells Fargo in June with no looking back and started working early for his Dad's company. His brothers came to town to buy a machine for their company and Lee had fun with them and it was neat they were around for Lucas' baby blessing. Lee did an awesome job in Portuguese and many commented on the sweet spirit they felt. We had a great 5th anniversary on June 4th and celebrated at Bennihana's Restaurant which was our first and lots of fun! Lee surprised me first with couples massages at the Kura door and it was the perfect thing! He definitely knows the way to my heart. :) And even after a disappointing World Cup (Brazil didn't play so well) Lee is ready to pack his bags and is so excited for Brazil.

MAILE: Is potty trained! Well, sort of. We're working on the #2 situation but she's got the xixi (pee in portuguese) thing down. Good job Maile. Her new favorite things are red lipstick, her princess suitcase (we walked in the Disney store and saw all the princess stuff and she exclaimed, "OH MY GOSH!!" :) It was too cute.) She loves having tea parties, playing with Aunt Danni, she asks everything in a "how" question (example: when I didn't let her use my lipstick. "How you being mean to me mommy?") and she couldn't be more excited about her upcoming 3rd birthday! I feel like she has really grown up all the sudden and just love my little girl. She loves her brother she nicknamed "Lukey" and when she's not smothering him with kisses she is waking him up out of his slumbers. Doh! She is a special little girl.

LUCAS: My sweet little boy. Lucas is 4 months old and smiling, giggling and spitting up over everyone! Seriously, watch out- he will slime you with his reflux spit ups but don't let that fool you that he isn't the sweetest baby ever. He is so happy and so easy going. He looks just like his Daddy and he's such a joy to take care of.

Well, we're enjoying San Diego until the 18th and then we have 2 weeks left until we go! Just trying to take each day at a time and I'm working on being patient. I keep telling myself to not sweat the small stuff (cause there's lots of it these days) so I tell myself "I'm healthy, my kids are healthy, I have a loving husband, I'm happy and nothing else matters!" I know, I know, all I need to add to my affirmation is "I'm good enough, I'm smart enough, and doggonit people like me!" lol
