This is the entrance to Lee's family's ranch. It's so beautiful there!

Thomas and Maile are just 1 month apart!

Lee's parents.

this was the day we got there! so sunny and beautiful. this is out the window of their apartment. Lovin' the view!!!
By now you that pass by our blog every once in awhile know that I only update it every few months and only when something eventful happens. :) We went to Brazil for 10 days in March and it was total paradise! Hot beach weather and it was so much fun to spend time with Lee's family. Whenever we visit it's fun to get together with my 5 sister-in-laws and the 17 grandchildren and just talk and play. My favorite is listening to my sogra's (mother-in-law) stories- she is such a talker but has so much passion for life and the Gospel- I love it. I had fun laying by the pool, going to the beach, the mall, eating the yummy food, seeing old friends and family and the last day Lee had a bunch of friends over for a game of soccer at his parent's ranch. It was so much fun. Brazil reminds me so much of my mission and I love the people so much- it's neat that I actually have family there now. Maile had fun this time with all the kids even though it brought out her possesive side and she did a lot of grabbing toys away saying "NO!" and "mine!". Oh gal. But she's learning to play better with other little ones and it was fun to see her pick up on the Portuguese. The traveling was very tiring (15 hours in the airplane!) but all I can say is...we did it and it was totally worth it.
Ever since we got home I've been really sick and now that I'm feeling better I look out the window at the snow and can't help but feel a bit depressed. I just really am anxious for the Spring! I definitely do better in a warm climate. Oh well, now that our trip is over I am looking forward to General Conference and the tulips coming up in our front yard. Beijos.
