Okay so maybe I'm not the biggest blogger but here's a little update on what we've been up to. The holidays were so much fun with a little one- it brought back the "magic" of Christmas. The New Year was full of skiing, eating and speed scrabble with the fam. It was so fun to have everyone together! Now Lee's back in school and I am working on another book tour for my boss's "The Five Lessons for Women" book. It's been crazy busy around here; we've had the basement flood and drains clog (joys of being a homeowner!), I've been hooked on watching The Bachelor and am glad Idol is back :), we had fun getting together with friends and it was sad to see Melissa and family go (hope you are settling well in AZ), we're getting excited for our trip next month to Brazil (we couldn't resist- the tickets were at such a good price, but I'm nervous for the 15 hour plane ride with a toddler- any tips?!!), and of course we've been having fun with Maile. She is in nursery now at church and loves it. I'm trying to break her in to playing with friends at our house- everything they grab Maile gives a big "Noooo!" and trys to whack them. (we're working on that one). But mostly I've just enjoyed the fact that she is communicating so much with me. Some of her favorite words right now are "Bye, water, juice, choo-choo (when she wants to watch Thomas the Train), "doggy, No!, more" and the list goes on and on. She knows what she wants when she wants it- but I actually prefer it that way. I am loving 19 months! Lee says when she knows how to change diapers we'll have another one. :) So that may take awhile.....
Hope all is well with you. Can't wait to catch up on what everyone has been doing!

Maile looooved to say "Ssssanta!"

We had a great Christmas!

I miss you! Sounds like you had a fun holiday and I love that your getting hooked to the Bachelor and Idol :) ha ha that always reminds me of you and getting ready for our missions. Our lives were filled with...institute, shopping for mission clothes, American Idol and the Soup kitchen :) Oh good times. Maile is a doll! I can't wait till you can go back to Brazil. Soak up all the sun while you're there!

I can't believe you guys are going to Brazil again. That will be so fun, and so good for Maile to see her other family. I'll bet Lee is so excited as well. When I took Eliza to Mexico when she was just about two, I went to the dollar store and bought tonz of little things. Then I would just give her things one at a time on the plane ride. It kept her pretty entertained. But we only flew for six hours, not 15!!! Good luck. I love you.
