The Simple Things...

It's definitely the simple things that make my day. Seeing the kids gallop off on broomsticks, help lick the cake batter spatulas, wrestle with their Papai, and the way they play so well together all  puts a smile on my face.

And it's little phrases that Maile says that just makes my days better...

"Mommy, can you come in my castle and ring the ding bell?"

Me: "Where are you taking my lipstick Maile?!"
Maile: "Neverwhere."

"Mommy, have you seen my tinkle bell sandals? I want to play Peeper Pan."

Or when we were cleaning up her room together and she was helping me and I thought it would be a good time to point out how helping makes us happy:

Me: "It makes me feel so good when you help me Maile!
Does it make you feel good?"
Maile: "Not really."

I love the way she describes things like: When she got a bunch of mosquito bites-
"Mommy, why do these little bugs just climb all over me and eat me?"
or when she wants to say "yesterday" she says "last day"

Her Porto-Ingles is so cute. She speaks Portuguese really fluently but makes cute little mistakes like says "Leitar for deitar" or says "arramar for amarrar" and lately she's been letting out an awful lot of "Oxe!" and yesterday she exclaimed "Rapaz!!". Minha nordestina!

And I can't forget my little Lukey beijoqueiro! :) Always sending kisses our way!
